1. At a glance
- PointHive is available in the United States only, and only to people aged 18 or older.
- You sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code we email you. There is no password.
- We collect what is needed to run your account, credit rewards and pay you: your email address and sign-in code, your reward and withdrawal records, the payout profile fields you enter, your support tickets, and hashed device and network identifiers.
- Your payout profile fields are stored encrypted — your name, PayPal email address, phone number, date of birth and country and state — and our team sees them only in masked form.
- We ask for Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission and we use the answer. With your permission, Apple's advertising identifier is used to attribute offer completions and measure how offers perform (section 7).
- Declining tracking never changes your balance or your rewards. It changes only which third-party offers can be shown to you (section 7).
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give it to data brokers.
- You can delete your account inside the app at any time: Account → Danger zone → Delete Account (section 13).
2. Who we are
GlobalTech Game is the brand under which the PointHive app and this website are offered. They are operated by GLOBALTECH GAMING GROUP PTE. LTD, 112 ROBINSON ROAD, #03-01, ROBINSON 112, SINGAPORE 068902 ("we", "us"). In this policy, the "Service" means the PointHive app for iPhone and the website at www.globaltechgame.com.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right described in section 12, write to [email protected], or open a support ticket inside the app (Account → Support). This policy applies to the Service only. The companion document is our Terms of Service.
3. Who may use PointHive
PointHive is offered in the United States and is intended for people 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 — and never from a child under 13. If you believe that someone under 18 has used PointHive, write to [email protected] and we will delete the account and its personal data.
How the age requirement works, honestly. The 18+ requirement is currently self-declared. Signing in with Apple, Google or an email code does not tell us your age, we do not ask you for identity documents, and we do not ask for your age when you sign up. We collect your date of birth only when you set up a payout profile, because we need it to send a payout and to meet tax rules.
4. What we collect
| Category | What it includes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account, email and sign-in code | Your email address; the account identifier and, with your permission, the email address returned by Apple or Google when you sign in with them; the one-time sign-in code we email you, of which we store only a one-way hash — never the code itself; and the sign-in token we store encrypted so that we can end your Apple connection when you delete your account | You, and your sign-in provider |
| Reward and withdrawal records | Your points ledger, reward history and balance; the offers you open, task progress, clicks and impressions; daily check-ins; and every withdrawal request you make, with the payout record we keep for it — the amount, its status, the requested and paid dates, and the PayPal transaction reference | Your activity, and server-side confirmation from our offer providers |
| Payout profile | The details you enter to be paid: payee name, PayPal email address, phone number, date of birth, and country and state. These fields are stored encrypted at rest, and our team sees them only in a masked form. Your tax identifier is encrypted too, and only its last four digits are ever shown | You |
| Support | The subject and the messages of the support tickets you open | You |
| Device and technical | Platform, app version, operating-system version and device model; and one-way SHA-256 hashes of the identifiers our systems handle — your IP address, your email address, the one-time codes we send, and the random per-install device identifier our app generates. We do not store the raw value of any of these | Your device, and our own systems |
| Advertising identifier and tracking consent | Apple's advertising identifier, and the tracking status the app reports, only after you allow tracking. We keep only a one-way SHA-256 hash of the identifier. If you decline, none of this is collected (section 7) | Your device, after your permission |
| Usage data | In-app interaction events, such as an offer being shown, started or clicked | Your activity |
| Server logs | A technical log of each request, containing a random request identifier, the path, the status code and the time taken | Our servers |
The only third-party software inside the PointHive app is Google Sign-In and the packages it needs to work. The app contains no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no third-party analytics SDK.
5. What we do not collect or keep
- Your IP address, email address or one-time sign-in codes in plain text. We store one-way SHA-256 hashes; the raw value is not kept.
- Apple's vendor identifier (IDFV). PointHive does not read it. The device identifier we use for rate limiting is a random value the app generates for each install, and it is not the IDFV. Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is read only after you allow tracking, and we keep only a one-way SHA-256 hash of it.
- Your PayPal email address, phone number, date of birth or tax identifier in plain text. They are encrypted at rest and shown to our team only in masked form.
- Your camera, photos, precise location, contacts, microphone, health or calendar data. We request none of those permissions. The App Tracking Transparency prompt is the only permission prompt the app has.
- Your location trail. The country and state we hold are the ones you type in; we do not read GPS.
- Any password for PointHive. There is none.
- Answers to survey questionnaires. A survey offered through an offer provider is collected by that provider on its own page, and the answers are not returned to our servers.
- Any sale of your personal information, any transfer to data brokers, and any advertising profile used outside PointHive.
6. How we use information
- to create and secure your account, and to let you earn and redeem rewards;
- to attribute an offer completion to the right account and credit the correct reward — a reward is credited only after the offer provider confirms the completion to us on the server;
- to send you a sign-in code when you ask us to;
- to process the withdrawals you request and the payouts we send, and to keep the records we are required to keep;
- to prevent fraud and abuse — for example duplicate accounts, automated activity or abuse of sign-in codes — and to protect other users;
- to provide support and answer your questions;
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We use the country and state you enter to keep the Service within its intended market, and your date of birth for payouts and tax reporting. We use device information and hashed identifiers for account security, rate limiting and fraud prevention. When you allow tracking, we also use the advertising identifier to attribute an offer completion to the right account and to measure how offers perform (section 7).
7. Tracking, advertising and App Tracking Transparency
PointHive requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, and it uses the answer. We use it to attribute an offer completion to the right account and to measure how offers perform. The system prompt appears only from the app's Settings screen, and only after our own explanation — never when you launch the app, and never when you first open the task list.
What we collect when you allow tracking
- The app reports the tracking status together with Apple's advertising identifier to our own server.
- Our server stores only a one-way SHA-256 hash of the identifier, which we use for attribution, fraud prevention and measurement. The raw identifier is never written to our database.
- Our server forwards the raw identifier to our offer provider through the provider's own advertising-identifier reporting call, so the provider can confirm which user completed an offer and measure how offers perform. The provider processes that attribution on its own servers, under its own policy.
What we collect when you decline tracking
- The app reports no identifier at all. Nothing is forwarded to any offer provider.
- We do not read, store, hash or share the advertising identifier, and we do not record a tracking-status event for you.
Declining changes only which third-party offers can be shown. An offer provider that needs the advertising identifier to attribute a completion cannot confirm one for you without it, so offers from that provider may not be shown. Declining never changes your balance or your rewards. It does not lock any feature, it does not change the points you have already earned, your history or your ability to withdraw, and no reward depends on this choice.
You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
We do not build advertising profiles, we do not retarget you outside PointHive, and we do not share the advertising identifier with data brokers.
How long we keep it. The hashed identifier stays with the device record for attribution and fraud prevention, and deleting your account clears the device identifier columns we hold (section 13). The raw identifier forwarded to the offer provider is kept under that provider's own policy.
When you open an offer, we hand you over to the offer provider's page. That page is operated by the provider and is governed by the provider's own terms of service and privacy policy.
8. Who we share information with
| Recipient | What we share, and why |
|---|---|
| Apple and Google | Sign-in. We receive the account identifier and, where you approve it, the email address; we send back only what the sign-in flow requires. |
| Offer providers | When you open an offer we provide an opaque account identifier, the platform and your country, so the provider can attribute your completion and report the reward. When you allow tracking, we also provide Apple's advertising identifier, so the provider can attribute the completion and measure offer performance. We do not provide your name, email address or payout details. |
| PayPal | When a payout is sent: the amount and the payout profile details needed to deliver it — the payee name and the PayPal email address you provided — so the money can be sent to the account on file. |
| Our email delivery provider | Only to send a sign-in code to the address you entered. |
| Hosting and infrastructure providers | Hosting needed to run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of the data. |
| Authorities | Only where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users. |
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles for use outside PointHive. When you allow tracking, we disclose the advertising identifier to our offer provider only for offer attribution and measurement (section 7), and you can refuse or withdraw that permission at any time.
9. How long we keep information
| Record | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account details and profile records | For as long as your account exists, and 30 days after you delete it |
| Financial, withdrawal and tax records | Seven years, because we must be able to account for money that was paid and to meet tax and accounting obligations. They no longer carry your name, email address, country, state or date of birth |
| Payouts we have already sent | Seven years, including the encrypted payout email address and its hash, because we must be able to verify that payment |
| Support tickets | Three years |
| Risk and security events | Three years. These records contain one-way hashes only and carry no link to your account, so deleting your account does not remove them |
| One-time sign-in codes | Ten minutes from the moment we issue them, and unusable after that |
| Hashed advertising identifier | With the device record, for as long as your account exists, and cleared when you delete your account. The raw identifier forwarded to the offer provider is kept under that provider's own policy |
| Server request logs | As set by our hosting provider, normally 30 days |
10. Where information is stored and international transfers
Our services and data are hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-1). If you use the Service from the United States, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than the one you live in. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we do so under the safeguards described here: the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with our own transfer assessment.
Wherever the information is processed, it is handled under this policy and under contracts that require the receiving party to protect it.
11. How we protect information
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Your payout profile and tax identifiers are encrypted at rest, and device and network identifiers are stored only as one-way hashes. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it for support, fraud review or payouts, and sensitive operator actions are recorded in an audit log.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
12. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account — in the app, at Account → Danger zone → Delete Account (section 13).
- Access or correct your profile — change your display name and state or region in the app at Account → Profile, or write to us.
- Change your tracking choice — decline the system prompt, or change it at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Either choice leaves your balance and your rewards identical.
- Ask us for a copy, or ask us to correct or delete your information — write to [email protected] or open a support ticket in the app.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request a copy of it in a portable format; to ask us to delete or correct it; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- We do not sell personal information.
- When you allow tracking, we disclose Apple's advertising identifier to our offer provider for offer attribution and measurement (section 7). Under the CPRA this disclosure may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. It happens only with your permission, and you can refuse it in the system prompt or switch it off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Switching it off does not change your balance or your rewards.
- We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than the purposes the CPRA permits. We process your tax identifier only as needed for tax compliance, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You will not lose features, rewards or the ability to withdraw because you made a request or declined tracking.
- You may use an authorised agent to make a request. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder before we act on it.
How to exercise these rights. Write to [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request", or open a support ticket in the app at Account → Support. Please tell us which right you are exercising and from which email address you write, so we can match the request to your account. We will confirm that we received it and answer within the time the law allows.
This policy describes our practices for the Service and is not a statement about any other product.
13. Deleting your account
You can delete your account inside the app at Account → Danger zone → Delete Account, then Continue to Delete. One confirmation is enough, it takes effect immediately, and it cannot be undone. When you delete your account we:
- anonymise your account and profile — your email address, display name, country, state and date of birth are cleared;
- anonymise your payout profile, so the name and the masked contact details it held are replaced;
- clear the sign-in credentials we stored, and revoke the Apple sign-in connection where you signed in with Apple;
- clear the device identifier columns we hold, including the hashed advertising identifier, and delete the tracking-status events we recorded;
- revoke your sessions, so any device that was signed in stops working.
What we keep after deletion. We keep financial transactions, offer, withdrawal and payout records, risk events and tax totals, for the periods in section 9, because we must be able to account for money that was paid and to detect fraud. They no longer carry your name, email address, country, state or date of birth.
Deleting your account forfeits the points in it. If you want to keep a balance, request a withdrawal before you delete the account.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The version currently in force is the one shown at the top of this page.
